FlowCast Finance ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our mobile application.

- Tax profile information (filing status, estimated income, state of residence)
- Account information (email address for account creation, if applicable)
- CSV imports (transaction data you choose to upload)

- Device information (device type, operating system version)
- Usage data (app features used, crash reports for debugging)
1.3 Information We Do NOT Collect
- We do not connect to your bank accounts
- We do not access your contacts, photos, or location
- We do not sell your data to third parties
- We do not share your data with advertisers
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to:
- Provide core app functionality (calculate "safe to spend," track invoices, estimate taxes)
- Send notifications (quarterly tax reminders, invoice due date alerts, if enabled)
- Improve the app (analyze usage patterns, fix bugs, optimize performance)
- Provide customer support (respond to your inquiries)
3. Data Storage and Security
3.1 Where Your Data Is Stored
- Local storage: All financial data is stored locally on your device
- iCloud backup: If enabled, data may be backed up to your personal iCloud account (controlled by you)
3.2 Security Measures
- All data is stored securely on your device using iOS security features
- We do not transmit your financial data to external servers
- We do not store bank credentials (manual entry only)
3.3 Data Retention
- Your data remains on your device until you delete the app
- You can clear all data anytime via Settings → Delete All Data
4. Third-Party Services
FlowCast Finance uses minimal third-party services:
- Apple Push Notification Service (optional): To send tax reminders if you enable notifications. See Apple Privacy Policy
- Apple Analytics (optional): If you allow analytics in iOS settings, anonymous usage data may be collected by Apple
We do not use analytics SDKs, advertising networks, or tracking services.
5. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your data — all data is stored locally on your device
- Export your data — use Settings → Export Data to save a CSV/JSON file
- Delete your data — use Settings → Delete All Data or uninstall the app
- Opt out of notifications — disable in iOS Settings or app Settings
GDPR Rights (EU Users)
If you are in the European Union, you have additional rights:
- Right to data portability (export your data)
- Right to erasure ("right to be forgotten" — delete all data)
- Right to restrict processing
CCPA Rights (California Users)
If you are a California resident, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect (see Section 1)
- Request deletion of your personal information (delete the app or clear data)
- Opt out of sale of personal information (we do not sell your data)

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted in the app with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
8. Tax Calculation Disclaimer
Important: FlowCast Finance provides tax estimates for informational purposes only. We are not tax professionals and do not provide tax advice. Tax calculations may be inaccurate. Always consult a CPA or tax advisor before making tax payments or financial decisions.
